Senior Pastor/Teacher, Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church — Fresno, California

Dr. Reginald C. Goodman is a native of Los Angeles, California, a devoted husband and father, preacher, pastor, teacher, and Christian educator who has committed his life to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and equipping the people of God through sound biblical teaching.

Dr. Goodman was baptized at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. E. V. Hill. His spiritual journey and calling to ministry would eventually lead him to Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Fresno, California, where he was licensed and ordained under the leadership of Dr. Richard L. Daniels.

Recognizing the importance of preparation for ministry, Dr. Goodman pursued his theological education with a desire to become a more effective preacher, teacher, and servant of the Church. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Emmanuel Bible College and Seminary, a Master of Theology (Th.M.) from Bible Based School of Theology, and a Doctorate in Christian Education from Emmanuel Bible College and Seminary.

In 2019, Dr. Goodman was called to serve as Pastor of Christ Missionary Bible Church in Lancaster, California, where he faithfully served until 2024. During his pastoral ministry there, he devoted himself to preaching the Word of God, teaching biblical truth, providing pastoral care, and helping strengthen the spiritual life of the congregation.

God would later lead Dr. Goodman back to Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Fresno, California, the church where he had been licensed and ordained. He now serves as its Senior Pastor/Teacher, carrying forward the work of ministry with a strong commitment to biblical preaching, Christian education, discipleship, spiritual growth, and developing leaders for service in the local church and the Kingdom of God.

At the heart of Dr. Goodman’s ministry is a conviction that the Church must remain centered on Jesus Christ as its Head and the Word of God as its authority. His preaching and teaching ministry emphasizes careful exposition of Scripture while communicating biblical truth in a practical way that speaks to the everyday lives of God’s people.

As a Christian educator, Dr. Goodman is especially passionate about helping believers move beyond simply attending church to understanding Scripture, growing as disciples, and becoming equipped to serve. He believes strong churches are built when spiritually mature believers understand both what they believe and why they believe it.

Beyond the pulpit, Dr. Goodman values his calling as a husband and father. He is married to his wife, Tyeisha, and they are blessed with four children: Sha’maya, Modesty, Kelis, and Reginald. His family remains an important part of his life and ministry.

Whether preaching from the pulpit, teaching the Word of God, developing church leaders, or serving the community, Dr. Goodman’s desire remains simple: to glorify God, preach Jesus Christ, strengthen the Church, and prepare God’s people to faithfully fulfill the work to which they have been called.
